SHIPPING POLICY

1. General Information

This Shipping Policy applies to all orders placed through Second Self.

By placing an order, you agree to the terms outlined below.

All orders are fulfilled from:

Second Self  
The Weir  
Bleach Road  
Kilkenny  
Co. Kilkenny  
Ireland  


2. Processing Times

Orders are typically processed within 1–2 business days (Monday to Friday).

Orders placed before 4:30 PM (Europe/Dublin timezone) are typically processed the same business day. Orders placed after this time will be processed on the next business day.

Processing times may be extended during peak periods, product launches, seasonal events, or due to unforeseen circumstances.

Orders placed on weekends or public holidays will be processed on the next business day.


3. Shipping Destinations

We currently ship to:

• Republic of Ireland  
• Northern Ireland  
• United Kingdom  


4. Estimated Delivery Times

Republic of Ireland  
Standard Delivery: 1–3 business days  
Carrier: An Post or equivalent  
Tracking: Provided on all orders  

Northern Ireland & United Kingdom  
Standard Delivery: 3–7 business days  
Carrier: Royal Mail, DPD, or equivalent  
Tracking: Provided on all orders  

Delivery timeframes are estimates and are not guaranteed. Delays caused by carriers, customs processes, or events outside our control may extend delivery times.


5. Shipping Fees

Republic of Ireland:

• Flat rate shipping: €5.00  
• Free standard shipping on orders over €100  

Northern Ireland & United Kingdom:

Shipping fees are calculated at checkout based on destination and order value.

Any free shipping promotions or limited-time offers will be clearly displayed at checkout.


6. Order Confirmation & Tracking

You will receive an order confirmation email after placing your order.

Once dispatched, you will receive a shipping confirmation email containing your tracking details.

If you do not receive tracking information within 3 business days of placing your order, please contact: hello@secondselflife.com


7. Incorrect Shipping Information

You are responsible for ensuring that your delivery details are accurate and complete at checkout.

We cannot modify shipping addresses once an order has been dispatched.

If a parcel is returned due to incorrect or incomplete address information, you may be responsible for redelivery costs.


8. Delivery Issues

If your parcel is delayed, missing, damaged, or delivered incorrectly, contact hello@secondselflife.com promptly.

You may be required to provide:

• Photographs of damaged packaging or items  
• The shipping label  
• Your order number  

We will liaise with the carrier to investigate. Refunds or replacements will be issued in accordance with our Returns & Refund Policy and applicable consumer law.


9. Customs, Duties & Taxes (UK Orders)

Orders shipped to the United Kingdom may be subject to customs duties, VAT, or import charges depending on current regulations.

These charges are determined by UK authorities and are the responsibility of the customer.

Second Self is not responsible for delays caused by customs processing.


10. Failed Deliveries & Returned Parcels

If a parcel is returned to us due to:

• Refusal of delivery  
• Incorrect address  
• Failure to collect from a depot or pickup location  

You may be responsible for:

• The cost of reshipping the parcel, or  
• Applicable return shipping charges  

Refunds, where applicable, will exclude original shipping fees unless the error was caused by us.


11. Pre-Orders & Limited Releases

For products sold on a pre-order basis or marked with extended fulfilment timelines, estimated dispatch dates will be clearly stated on the product page.

By placing a pre-order, you acknowledge and accept the stated dispatch timeframe.
